Tuesday, October 26, 2010, Under a tent at Rumsey Playfield, Mid-Central Park at 72nd Street. The spirit of Halloween comes to life in Central Park at this annual event.

This non-traditional black-tie gala features dinner with fine wines generously provided by HobNob, over-the-top costumes, spooky décor, dancing and a whimsical celebration of the haunted season.

The most anticipated part of the evening is a festive and competitive costume contest with luxury prizes offered for best costumes in various categories overseen by celebrity judges. Costume Contest Prizes: Generously Provided by The Surrey Hotel.

Chairmen: Suzanne and Robert Cochran; Co-Chairmen: John and Judy Angelo, Kristy and Jonathan Korngold, John Stossel, Anita and Stuart Subotnick, Patsy and Jeff Tarr, and Julie Wurts; Junior Co-Chairmen: Kipton Cronkite, Corrente Schankler and Amy Tarr. Celebrity Judges include Richie Rich, American Fashion Designer. Guests included Gillian Miniter, CPC Women’s Committee President; Sylvester Miniter; Liz and Jeff Peek and over 500 individuals from New York's social, business, fashion and entertainment communities. Catering by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events and Event Design by Frank Alexander NYC. The event is a major fundraiser for the Central Park Conservancy, raising over $700,000 to benefit the Conservancy and its mission to maintain and preserve Central Park.

About the Conservancy
The Central Park Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1980 as a public-private partnership with the City of New York to restore Central Park to its former splendor, after decades of neglect, and to manage and preserve it for present and future generations. Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, corporations, foundations, and the City, the Conservancy has invested over $530 million to date into the Park, transforming it into a model for urban parks worldwide. Through events like this, the Conservancy is able to provide 85 percent of Central Park’s $37.4 million annual budget. For more information on the Conservancy, please visit: centralparknyc.org
